Let’s concentrate on the toms – Play the Rack tom on bars 1 and 3 and the
Floor tom on bars 2 and 4
We will split the toms up over half bars on the last 2 bars. This adds a bit more interest

to the bare bones.
Instead of playing 8th notes, you will be playing quarter notes. Theres no &’s in between.
This beat is best when played at a faster speed (Tempo)
Be a bit more aggressive on the hi hats – open ‘em a little.
Let’s beef up the beat by playing the bass on 1,2,3,4 and add a Crash on the 1
Same as above but we will add another Crash on the 3
Play the Crashes on the backbeat which is the 2 and 4
